Changes in the rankings after the Cerveza Victoria Mijas-Costa del Sol Open

After the World Padel Tour visited the Costa del Sol, the rankings have suffered some important changes in both categories. A lot of points moving from one place to another and a lot of players going up and down the rankings. Here are the most important changes.

The Cerveza Victoria Mijas-Costa del Sol Open was the fifth tournament of the season. Majo and Mapi Sánchez Alayeto won the event against Marta Marrero in the final, who was defending the quarter finals from the Valladolid Open 2016, and the Canary Islander  is now on top with 8870 points. The twins are now ranked second. It's not the only change in the top ten, as Ariana Sanchez and Marta Ortega have gone up 2 and 3 places respectively after reaching the semifinals, leaving them 9th ahead of Cecilia Reiter and Carolina Navarro. The biggest climber this week has been Ana Fernández de Ossó, who's risen 8 places from 29th to 21st.

After plenty of weeks with no changes in the top ten, the Mijas Open has left plenty of movement at the op. The winners, Cristian Gutiérrez and Franco Stupaczuk, have gone up notably. Gutierrez is back in the top ten (9th) and Stupaczuk has gone up two places to eighth. Godo Díaz and Lucho Capra reached the semifinals and are now in position to play the Master Final. The player from Quilmes has gone up four places to 13th and the man from Buenos Aires is 14th. Another pairing on the up is Ale Galán and Juan Cruz Belluati. Both have gone up three places to 17th. Right now they would be reserves for the Master Final.
