Champions and debutants: Every player's history at the Estrella Damm Master Final

The Estrella Damm Barcelona Master Final is around the corner. The most coveted title of them all.

Some have won it many times over, some have never even won a match in it, some are making their debut on the highest stage of them all.

Below, we break down the pedigree that each player has in Master Final history ahead of the tenth edition of the tournament!

Men's Master Final 2022

All 16 players who qualified for the Estrella Damm Barcelona Master Final 2022 have played in at least one Master Final before.

Arturo Coello and Momo Gonzalez made their debuts last season, Coello with Fernando Belasteguin and Gonzalez with Pablo Lima - Lima's partner at the time, Javi Ruiz, had not qualified.

Of the eight couples that played last season, only four remain: Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan, Sanyo Gutierrez and Agustin Tapia, Coello and Belasteguin, Maxi Sanchez and Luciano Capra.

Belasteguin, Lima, Gutierrez and Sanchez have the joint-record for most Master Final wins, taking three each. Nobody has won more, but eight of the 16 players have taken the most prestigious title at least once.

On the other side, Fede Chingotto, Juan Tello, Arturo Coello and Momo Gonzalez have never won a match at the Master Final.

Women's Master Final 2022

There are two debutants in the women's Master Final this season as break-out couple Barbara Las Heras and Veronica Virseda will both be competing for the first time.

Like in the men's Circuit, eight of the 16 players in the women's bracket have too already won the Master Final at least once.

Holding the record is Alejandra Salazar, winning the tournament four times: in 2013, 2015, 2018 and 2019.

She is the only player to win the Master Final with three different partners - Iciar Montes, Marta Marrero and Ariana Sanchez.

Four-time number ones Mapi and Majo Sanchez Alayeto have won three times in 2014, 2016 and 2017, while both Sanchez and Marrero have two titles to their name.
