The men's rankings have experienced several changes after the Buenos Aires Padel Master 2018. There's only one tournament to go on the regular season of the World Padel Tour and the race is on for everyone to reach the targets set out at the start of the campaign. Here's a brief summary of the most important changes ahead of the Murcia Open 2018.
1700 points were handed out to the winner of the Buenos Aires Padel Master and there was plenty more up for grabs for going far in the tournament. The winners in Argentina, Maxi Sánchez and Sanyo Gutiérrez, cemented their place at the top. Sánchez is first on 13,820 points and his partner Sanyo Gutiérrez is on 12,635 points. The gap over third placed Pablo Lima is now 4300 points. Finalists Agustín Gómez Silingo and Adrián "Tito" Allemandi have benefitted greatly from their surprise run and have climbed 8 and 6 places respectively to go 20th and 19th. The three biggest climbers are José Antonio García Diestro, Francisco "Chico" Gomes (who have both gone up 13 places) and Martín Sánchez Piñeiro who has moved up 12 places to return to the top 30.
Also, Uri Botello and Javier Ruiz have all but sealed their qualification for the Estrella Damm Master Final. The Spanish pairing reached its fourth semifinals of the season and are now on 3820. The only player that can take one of their slots is Luciano Capra who is on 2990.
