Bela and Lima Tamame and Gadea's dream

The number ones win in two sets

Bela and Lima Tamame and Gadea's dream

The second quarter final on centre court at Principadel, in the heart of Andorra, saw a pairing making its debut in this round of an open, Nacho Gadea and Germán Tamame, taking on the world number ones, Fernando Belasteguín and Pablo Lima.

Bela and Lima come out on top in the first set

After a cagey start, where both pairings showed respect for the other, the world number ones switched through the gears. That helped them claim the first break in the fifth game to lead 3-2. Bela and Lima attacks had no response from a feisty Tamame and Gadea who saw how Marcella Ferrari's players (she was on the bench today) won the first set 6-2.

Gadea and Tamame bow out with good sensations

The second set started in similar fashion, with Bela and Lima breaking early on. This helped the number one seeds to play pressure-free, but it also had the same effect on Tamame and Gadea. However, the Brazilian and the Argentine also took the second set 6-3 to end their opponents' dream run and reach the semifinals.
