A pure padel spectacle. That's what the final of the ABANCA Ciudad de A Coruña Open was between the two best pairings in the world, who didn't disappoint. Paquito Navarro and Sanyo Gutiérrez didn't make it easy for them, breaking Bela and Lima's serve on two occasions but the world number ones were up to the task and controlled the attacks of their opponents to take the first set to a tiebreak, and it was here where Paquito Navarro's class outshone the rest to seal the first set.

The world number ones would have to dig deep to come away with the title, and when Belasteguin asked for the physio, Jordi Riba, in the fourth game of the second set for some cramp, things didn't look good. Despite this, Bela and Lima managed to grab a break when the action restarted and took the set 6-4.

In the last set, both pairings were pushed to the limit and errors started creeping into Sanyo Gutierrez and Paquito Navarro's game, as Bela and Lima started to gain control of the match. The eighth game of the set was all about one man: Fernando Belasteguin, who overcame his physical woes to break and come withing inches of victory.

In the end Bela and Lima took it 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 in 2 hours and 48 minutes, in a match that will be remembered for a long time by the fans.

Funnily enough, this is the first time Belasteguin has won in A Coruña, where for different reasons he'd never been able to reign.
