13 hours of competition to decide the final 8 pairings in Cabrera de Mar

The fourth Challenger of the season, the Cabrera de Mar Challenger 2018staged a marathon day of last sixteen action which took up to 13 hours at Club Clark Padel.

José Antonio García Diestro and Víctor Ruiz advanced early on with a 6-2 / 7-5 win against Javier Redondo and Javier Martínez Vázquez. Marc Quilez and Andrés Britos pulled off a huge shock by knocking out Martín Sánchez Piñeiro and Guillermo Lahoz 6-4 / 6-4.

Gerard Company and Rubén Rivera were convincing and gave Nicolás Suescun and Jeremy Scatena no chance with a 6-2 / 6-1 win in 55 minutes. They'll take on Federico Chingotto and Pablo Lijó in the quarters after they defeated Ernesto Moreno and Gonzalo Rubio 3-6 / 6-1 / 6-2. 

Adrián Allemandi and Javier Garrido came out on top in one of the longest matches of day, defeating Javier González Barahona and Jerónimo González Luque 6-7 / 6-3 / 7-6. Their next opponents are Nacho Gadea and Aday Santana who dispatched the Rico brothers in just 44 minutes (6-1 / 6-4).

The Spanish/Portuguese pairing of Antonio "Pincho" Fernández and Miguel Oliveira live to fight another day after winning 3-6 / 6-4 / 6-2 against Guillermo Casal and Aitor García Bassas. Their quarter final rivals are Álvaro Cepero and Sebastián Neronewho won 6-1 / 6-2 against Adriá Mercadal and Ricardo "Ricky" Martínez.
